A Hazy Saturday

Yes, I know it's pretty hazy outside. I know the PSI has hit 150 today. But.... we still brought Joey out!

It's afterall a Saturday and I can't bear the thought of staying home the whole day. So, inspite of the haze, we went to town. We went to many places today and stayed outdoors most of the time, but thank God Joey seemed unfazed by the haze (wah! rhymes!). Even I felt that somehow the air was thicker and harder to breathe. Maybe the quantity of air she needs is much lesser. haha..

We started our expedition at Dhoby Gaut Link. It's quite a small MRT mall, but the shops are pretty cool. There's even a kids shop inside selling really cute baby & kids clothes which I've never seen anywhere else. Mummies, worth to take a look there!

From Dhoby Gaut, we walked all the way to Takashimaya and rested our feet at the 'Central' Hong Kong teahouse. Then we decided that we should make a trip to Sim Lim Square to get our webcam. My MIL in Australia is missing Joey lots and lots and we thought that letting her see Joey through the webcam can help ease part of the longing and Joey would also not forget what she looks like too!

After getting our webcam, we went to Selegie to have our 'tau huay' fix. Haha.. The tau huay is really very good, especially when we ate it with fried doughsticks! Yum Yum.. At the stall, there was a little girl, around 5 years old who started to play with Joey. She's really good, I must say, because Joey was captivated by her! She was making funny faces & playing with Joey and guess what? Joey started to laugh really loudly! And she kept laughing and laughing and laughing that the people around us all started to look at her with amusement. There was even a car full of people who refused to drive away because they were just enjoying Joey's laughter! Oh man.. I tell you, we got to quickly leave to stop all the stares and all the murmurs of 'so cute... so cute'.. I think maybe not many people have seen babies laugh so hard before..

That kind of ended our expedition on a very funny and happy note. :)
