Getting Tighter

Joey's thighs are really getting bigger by the day. Nowadays, sitting in the Bambo chair requires some squeezing to get her thighs in to the right place. Taking out requires another pulling effort. Haha.. I think before long, I can wrap this Bambo chair up & keep in my storeroom until my next baby comes. Sigh

This is so weird because Pst Aries' boy - Christian, still sits in the Bambo chair when he's eating his rice or porridge! Joey, a mere 5-month old, can't squeeze into the Bambo chair anymore, while a 3-year-old can put his butt in without any difficulties. Double sigh.

Something funny happened yesterday. Isaiah and I were in a departmental store yesterday with Isaiah's brother & cousin and we were arguing what size of a spaghetti top we should get for Joey. I think size 4 will be just nice but isaiah wanted to get size 6 so that she can still wear when she outgrows size 4 in a month's time.

Then came along the salegirl who asked how old my kid was. When I said '5 months old', her eyes opened really widely and said, "But what you're holding is for 4 years old & above." and proceeded on to pick out some really mini clothes to show me instead. Please lah! My Joey can't even fit into those when she was born! (that was what went on in my mind at that moment...)

I tell you, we just couldn't believe it because it sure looked like Joey could fit into that spaghetti top! After some argument, we finally got our way & bought the spaghetti top size 4. The salesgirl looked pretty amused when we left the shop. She must either be thinking that we are nuts, or trying to imagine a 5-month-old baby the size of a 4-year-old.

But please loh! When I tried the spaghetti top on Joey today, it's only slightly bigger lo! She could jolly wear fit nicely into it in a month's time! Which 4-year-old is so small, you tell me??! I am adamant that my baby is not gigantically big. She is just .... big. So you see, we cannot fully trust the words of a salesgirl. Not even one who works in a kids' store! Hmmph!
